I am behind on podcasts - don't seem to have the time as training increases (I wish I could listen to podcasts and train, but I need the "pump" of music).

Two thoughts:
1. You were saying that pool running didn't get your heart rate up that much. I was wondering about that. What would happen if you added ankle weights? Perhaps that's not allowed - just curious

2. You said you were going to get a plastic baggie to put your pool workout in - this is what I was doing until one of the Ironteam coaches showed me a trick (stupid not to think of it, once you see it). Print the workout out on a pretty large font, on a laser printer (e.g., one where the ink does not run!) When you get to the pool, wet the workout, and slap it onto the side of the deck (right above your lane). You can just look up and look at the workout, without having to stop, smooth out the plastic bag, keep a water bottle on it so it doesn't blow away, etc. etc. Brilliant - and I'm sure swimmers have known this trick for ages. I had never seen it before our "boot camp" weekend and now use it. Dead easy.

So sorry to hear about the shins! That sucks. Having some hip issues, but that's probably just b/c I'm an old fart ;-)

cheers,
